Another month and another of our Heretics enthusiasts meets. As usual the variety of vehicles through the gate never fails to impress us… But this month was even more special.
What is that?!
We had only ever caught sight of a Volkswagen XL1 in museums and on the internet before, so to have one parked outside our shop for sale was unbelievable! Thanks to Targa Florio Cars in Chichester for bringing it along for us to check out. It certainly drew a crowd and sparked conversations.
Potentially matching the rarity of the XL1 in the UK was a beautiful beige/black Type 34 Razor Edge Karmann Ghia, and upping the scarcity stakes even higher a Brazilian import Karmann Ghia TC.
Keen for Ice Cream
For those wishing to follow their authentic German bratwurst with a perfect pudding, there was the option to purchase traditional ice cream from a vintage trike serving a mixture of flavours in luxury waffle cones! Get in touch with Chocolate balloons here, if you’d like them at your event….We can thoroughly recommend it!!
Take it back to the old skool
With DJ Kenny spinning hip hop classics for the masses to mingle to, it was another great aircooled turnout, regardless of the fact that many (including him) would be leaving early in the morning for Bug Jam at Santa Pod. Beetles, Buses and a couple of ‘regular’ Karmann Ghia’s in the mix, plus a pair of Porsche 356s all added to the spectacle.
Modern makes sense
We appreciate not everyone likes ‘old cars’ or at least wants to drive one on a Thursday evening. This month, we welcomed more modern machinery at our meets.
