July's Heretics Meet

Where has the year gone? The longest day has passed and the nights are slowly becoming shorter again. We’ve got 2 more of our enthusiasts meet-ups left for 2019, but for now please enjoy the photos from July’s get together.

Old Golfs matter…

Smooth Operator: think drink

New for July were a couple of guys we met at the Armada Festival, who with their ‘On the Road’ Bus prepare and sell smoothies at local events and festivals. We’re pretty sure if you sample their wares you’ll be back for another in August – they will be.

Eddie the Love Bus

DJ Gazman and ‘Eddie Love Bus’ brought the disco vibe to Shoreham in a way that only they know-how. Glitter balls on mannequin legs, vintage flight cases, big old speakers and all sorts of accessories. Check out social media for details on their pop-up parties in Brighton and London, it can only make you smile.

Well, whaddya know…

Our 4th meeting of the year offered variety in all shapes and sizes; and as we often explain, we never know what is going to turn up, especially if it rains in the morning, as it did today.

Big Rig

For the pedantic, yes it’s a Mercedes, for those in the know, it’s much the same as a VW Crafter, with a different badge. Benefiting from a ‘proper bed’ and a full-sized shower cubicle there’s some luxury to be had if you steer a little further left of the typical T4 or T5 weekender.

Mauve outta the way!

You couldn’t fail to notice the purple 911 GT3 RS, with wings and scoops aplenty and 21″ wheels casually rumble into the yard. This road rocket is driven daily by its owner, who is new to the Porsche scene but already feeling he’s made a great choice: even if there are fewer seats than he has children. It sounded epic!

Ghia head

This low light Ghia with Super 90 Porsche 356 engine got us hot under the collar and slightly more subtle than the Stuttgart offering above.

More but not the same…

We continue…

We hope you will join us again for the next one on Thursday 15th August. Things get underway just before 6 pm with our shop open 7-9pm for any purchases or parts advice you may require. Hope to see you there.
